Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between water proof and water resistant?

Although the two sound the same, they are in fact quite different guarantees.

Water proof products are truly capable of operating at full capacity while submerged in water and to a certain depth. Very few product types are water proof and since SteelSeries does not sell to sea monsters, we do not intend to figure out how such a astonishing feat would be accomplished ... yet.

Water resistant is the ability for a product to function or avoid damage by brief periods of exposure to liquids (i.e. the unexpected beverage sneak attack). If you have one of our water resistant products such as the NP+, then you will be able to survive one of these attacks unscathed.
