Frequently Asked Questions

What are buttons 6-15 used for on the WoW Mouse?

Buttons 6-15 (right side buttons and dpad -- see diagram in WoW user guide) are used to emulate keyboard commands and macros such as movement and opening inventory bags.  They are different from buttons 1-5 (top buttons and 2 side buttons) in that they are not treated as mouse buttons when binding commands in Windows or applications.

These buttons are best programmed using the SteelSeries Software instead of in game binds or mouse bind (i.e mouse6 and mouse15 do not exist). We chose to use the macro system due to its versatility in all programs that may not utilize more than 5 dedicated mouse buttons.
