Frequently Asked Questions

My Z Engine system tray icon stays yellow/red.

1. Check that the Zboard is properly attached to a USB port on the PC.

2. Ensure you are not using any intermediate devices between your Zboard and your PC such as PS/2>USB converter and vice versa, KVM or other PC switch, cable extension cord, and so on. Attach the Zboard cable directly to a back USB port in your computer depends on the model.

3. Please ensure your "USB Legacy support" or "USB

Emulation" settings in your BIOS are set to "Enabled" or "On"

4. Try changing your BIOS settings to "Normal boot" and not "Rapid/Fast boot"

5. Uninstall and reinstall the Zboard software (with the device plugged in prior to

installation, for troubleshooting purpose plug in only the mouse and the Zboard and do not plug any other devices).

6. Yellow icon also indicates that there is a conflict on your system. Possible

conflicting softwares/devices are:

   * Tripple Lite UPS

   * Microsoft Blue Mouse

   * KDS CD Tower

   * Logitech Wingman Force 3D (Joystick)

   * PS/2 control adapter

   * USB->PS/2 adapter
